Szymon is a Polish qualified attorney (adwokat). He has over 20 years of professional experience in capital markets, financial regulatory, commercial contracts, corporate issues, and both public and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as well as in restructurings. Szymon focuses on both share and asset deals, restructuring projects, and offerings of securities (incl. IPOs, bond offerings, etc.). He is also involved in providing day-to-day legal advice, incl. with respect to commercial and corporate issues, capital markets and financial regulatory.

Work highlights*

• Advising EBRD on PLN226.5m (EUR52m) investment in CRR-compliant Additional Tier 1 capital bonds issued by mBank (the 5th largest Polish bank) as part of an issuance totalling PLN1.5billion (EUR346m), listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange
• Advising Nrep on €200m acquisition of an 80% stake in 7R, one of Poland’s largest logistics developers, and JVA with 7R shareholders
• Advising InfraVia Capital Partners on €400 the acquisition of 50% of Polski Światłowód Otwarty (PŚO) from and JVA with Play Group (one of Poland's leading fixed, digital TV and mobile convergent players) and PLN1,200m bonds offering by PŚO
• Advising ING Bank Śląski (the 4th largest Polish bank) on its acquisition of 45% stake in NN Investment Partners TFI (currently Goldman Sachs TFI), the 4th largest asset manager in Poland, from and JVA with NN Investment Partners International Holdings and on its acquisition of Paymento Financial (a FinTech company)
• Advising PESA Bydgoszcz, the largest Polish rolling stock manufacturer, in connection with its take over by PFR (Polish Government Investment Fund)
