I have experience advising on corporate transactions focusing on domestic and cross-border corporate restructuring, M&A and capital markets transactions cutting across various sectors such as financial services, oil & gas, real estate, manufacturing and consumer goods. My recent transaction history include:

• advised Unilever Group in connection with the carve-out and transfer of Unilever tea businesses as part of the global separation within the group.
• advised a consortium of five sellers (across three different jurisdictions) in connection with the divestment of 93.41% equity stake in Union Bank of Nigeria Plc to Titan Trust Bank, incorporating a hive-out of Union Bank UK.
• advised Heineken N.V on anti- trust law in connection with the acquisition of Distell Group Holdings Limited and Namibia Breweries Limited
• advised the arrangers in connection with the issuance of a US$500 million Perpetual Fixed Rate Resettable NC 5.25 Additional Tier 1 (AT1) Subordinated Notes issued by Access Bank Plc, the first-ever AT1 eurobond issued out of West Africa.
• advised Purple Real Estate in connection with the issuance of approximately, US$4 million sukuk, employing the sukuk al-ijarah model and issued via a private placement to identified investors.
• advised Bank of Industry Limited in connection with the issuance of €750 million 5-year 144A/Reg S bonds, backed by a sovereign guarantee issued by the Federal Government of Nigeria, as Guarantor.
• advised United Bank for Africa on the establishment of a US$1.5 Billion Global Medium-Term Note Programme and the issuance of US$300 million 144A/Reg S senior unsecured notes under the programme.
• advised Chester Paints LLC on the acquisition of 100% equity stakes in Pittsburgh Paints Nigeria Limited and Sigma Coatings Nigeria Limited
