David leads our corporate team in Scotland. He is a corporate and commercial lawyer based in our Edinburgh office focussed on the Technology sector and fintech. David advises on transactional corporate matters and joint ventures as well as business process and IT outsourcing arrangements, software licensing and technology innovation and exploitation. David is recognised as a leading individual in the Legal 500 under the IT & Telecoms category and noted as particularly active in the technology and fintech sectors in relation to corporate transactions. David co-leads the firm's Fintech subsector.

A list of experience:

• advising global Fintech, FNZ on its outsourcing services contracts for the provisions of wealth platform services to various blue-chip financial services clients including Abrdn, Virgin Money, Quilter and Aviva
• advising a leading national building society on its strategic venture capital investments into a number of Fintech businesses
• advising Par Equity on its investments into, and divestments from, technology businesses including Current Health, Symphonic Software and Cyacomb 
• advising management in relation to the sale of ICS Learn an e-learning technology business backed by Primary Capital to Skill & You backed by IK Partners
• advising Admiral Pioneer on its strategic investment into Wagonex
