Simon serves both national and international clients, by offering comprehensive advice on a wide range of corporate, capital markets and transactional matters. This includes ongoing advice to corporate bodies on all operational matters as well as strategic advice on corporate structuring. Additionally, Simon specialises in contentious matters, particularly in commercial and corporate litigation, complex shareholder disputes, or disputes which may arise between shareholders and directors.

Throughout his career, Simon has advised and advocated for clients across various sectors, including Industry 4.0, digital, energy and utilities, financial services, and retail and consumer. Simon also regularly advises start-ups and individuals on all corporate matters relating to the establishment and development of businesses. In recent years Simon, as in-house Head of Legal, has reaped extensive experience advising companies in the infrastructure construction and renewable energy sectors.

Education

Simon studied law at the University of Hamburg (Germany) with a focus on economic analysis of law. Within his two-year legal training (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Schleswig (Germany), during which he worked at Regional Court of Lübeck, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Transport and Innovation in Hamburg (BWI) and two international law firms in Hamburg and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), he focused on corporate and commercial law, as well as on litigation. Simon also successfully completed the specialist lawyers’ training course and exams in commercial and corporate law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht).

Following his admission to the bar in 2017, Simon earned valuable experience working at two prominent international law firms located in Hamburg. In 2020, he commenced his employment with Addleshaw Goddard, dedicating three years of service to the firm. Subsequently, he acted as Head of Legal for a leading European infrastructure construction company before returning to Addleshaw Goddard in 2024, further contributing to his extensive legal career.
