• Acted for a consortium in international arbitration proceedings in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding a desalination plant and assisted with project delivery advice. The amount in dispute was USD 71 million.
• Acted for a joint venture in international arbitration proceedings based in Qatar concerning contractual interpretation issues relating to payment disputes valued at QAR 95 million (AUD 41 million).
• Acted for a major developer in three concurrent Supreme Court proceedings regarding the landmark ‘Opal Tower’ case. The publicised dispute led to legislative reform including the imposition of a new duty of care for building practitioners when constructing residential buildings. The claim was over AUD 400 million.
• Acted for an international contractor against state government in domestic arbitration proceedings concerning a major rail infrastructure project. Amount in dispute was circa AUD 200 million with 1,300 days of delay.
• Advised a design & construct contractor on various project delivery issues regarding social housing development, valued at AUD 300 million.
