EXPERTISE
Marek is a Polish-qualified lawyer (radca prawny) and senior associate specialising in civil law litigation, white collar, and regulatory proceedings conducted by administrative authorities. He provides legal advice to Polish and foreign entrepreneurs, including financial institutions, private equity funds, and directors. His expertise includes proceedings on civil, criminal, and administrative liability of directors and managers of companies, including public ones, also in proceedings by the Polish Financial Supervisory Authority (KNF).
He conducts forensic investigations of public companies and advises on implementing internal corporate policies and regulations to support companies in daily operations and prevent omissions and negligence. He actively supports clients in corporate advisory services and works on mergers and acquisitions transactions, notably with private equity funds. His corporate and transactional experience is crucial for the comprehensive legal advisory provided to clients.

- Polish Development Fund: Representation as the aggrieved party in a criminal investigation by regional prosecutor’s offices and police concerning fraudulent activity with government programmes "Polish Development Fund Financial Shield for SMEs" and "Financial Shield for Large Enterprises".
- Capitea S.A.: Representation in court and injunction proceedings against an investment fund company for payment of approximately PLN 135m relating to acquisition of overpriced shares due to fraud.
- Private equity company: Advising on claims for damages regarding acquisition by another financial institution with alleged criminal conspiracy, including representation in regulatory proceedings by KNF.
- Financial institution: Representation in administrative proceedings concerning alleged AML violations.
- Supervisory board members of a public company: Representation in proceedings by KNF on financial penalties due to breaches of disclosure obligations and MAR non-compliance.
