Expertise 

Marta is a Polish qualified lawyer (radca prawny) and a Managing Associate in Dispute Resolution. She has over 13 years of experience in arbitration and litigation. She specializes in civil and commercial law matters. 

Her arbitration experience includes high profile investment arbitrations, international commercial arbitrations and domestic arbitrations under various rules including ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, KIG as well as before the Court of Arbitration for Sport of the Polish Olympic Committee. Her litigation experience includes civil liability disputes, finance disputes, class actions, contentious competition, private enforcement and contentious regulatory. She also represents clients before the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection and Financial Supervision Authority.

She assists clients from various sectors, including financial, real estate, infrastructure and transportation as well as private equity funds, and has acted for and advised various national sport associations and sports federation. Marta is the author of publications in the field of civil procedure law and arbitration.

  • PL Holdings, a subsidiary of Abris Capital Partners: advising and representing in investment arbitration against Poland at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in an uncompensated expropriation case.
  • A leading toll motorway concessionaire in Poland: representing in an ad hoc UNCITRAL arbitration against the Ministry of Infrastructure.
  • Cerberus Capital Management: advising on litigation risks aspects of the acquisition of 100% of the shares of VeloBank, a leading bank in Poland.
  • Orange Polska: on negotiations and the signing of an PLN 145 million out-of-court settlement agreement between Orange Polska and Netia and its subsidiaries.
  • PKP PLK, Polish largest manager of railroad infrastructure: representing in disputes concerning fees for access to railroad infrastructure in connection with improper implementation of the EU directive with a total dispute value exceeding PLN 2 billion.
