Aaina Grover is an associate in the Infrastructure Projects and Energy team and is primarily based in Addleshaw Goddard's Dubai and Riyadh offices. Aaina holds both a Canadian and American Juris Doctor degree and has experience working on infrastructure projects in both jurisdictions. Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, Aaina worked with two prominent large multi-national law firms in the areas of project development and project finance, with a focus on project development and public private partnerships (PPP). Aaina primarily focuses on work originating in the Middle East.

Experience
  • Advised the public procurement authority in four public private partnership projects to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a 15.6 KM subway line through the City of Toronto
  • Advised the public procurement authority in the progressive public private partnership project to design, build, finance, operate and maintain an acute care learning hospital in the City of Ottawa
  •  Advised the procurement authority in the Province of Ontario’s first progressive public private partnership project to design, build and finance a hospital, elder care lodge, visitor hostel, staff accommodations and a new ambulatory care centre, servicing the province's Indigenous communities in the James Bay and Hudson Bay coastal region
  • Advised the lead member of the developer consortium in the District of Columbia’s first public private partnership project to design, construct, install, finance and manage the entire street light network in the District of Columbia, including the upgrade of more than 75,000 streetlights to LED technology with remote monitoring and control capabilities
  •  Advised the developer in the public private partnership project to operate, maintain, and commercialize a 580 mile fiber-optic network in North Carolina 
  • Represented the public procurement authority in the development of a new contractual framework for the economic engagement and participation of Indigenous communities to be used as template drafting across all social infrastructure projects
