Addleshaw Goddard advises Mirova on the refinancing of its Polish wind farm portfolio
Addleshaw Goddard has advised Mirova on the refinancing of a portfolio of operational wind farms in Poland, held through investment vehicles managed by Mirova, with a total installed capacity of 150 MW. The financing was provided by Erste Bank Polska S.A., mBank S.A. and funds managed by PZU TFI.
Addleshaw Goddard's cross-border team supported Mirova at every stage, from legal due diligence and transaction structuring, including corporate and tax aspects, to the term sheet and facilities agreement.
The transaction reflects a new wave of financing for operational assets in Poland, an asset class that continues to attract energy transition-focused sponsors and generate strong appetite among lenders. It also further strengthens Addleshaw Goddard's track record in advising sponsors and lenders on renewable energy financings in Poland.
The Addleshaw Goddard team was led by Maciej Chęciński, who led the financing workstream and coordinated the cross-border team across Warsaw, Germany and Paris.
The wider team comprised Marcin Wołoszyn and Katarzyna Smagacz on finance; Michał Mikołajczyk and Anna Michniewicz on due diligence; and Adam Usiądek and Jan Jurga, supported by Paulina Osiecka and Mikołaj Bieniasz, on corporate and tax structuring.
The German law aspects were handled by Nadine Bourgeoise, Helena Velimirovic and Nikolos Tsargeli, while Charles Tissier and Antoine Venier advised on French law matters.
The transaction was supervised by partners Jakub Dąbrowski, Infrastructure and Energy, and Marta Domino, Banking and Finance.
