Melvin has extensive experience of the manufacturing sector, having worked as an in-house lawyer within a multi-national manufacturing group for 24 years until 2023 as Head of Legal, UK & Ireland, during which he supported advanced manufacturing, chemicals, aerospace, automotive and pharmaceuticals businesses.

Alongside his in-house legal role, Melvin was a senior manager in the business and was a Company Director and Company Secretary for many years and also Country Manager for the UK & Ireland as well as a Council Member of the trade association.  

He brings first hand experience to his manufacturing clients of the legal and other issues affecting their businesses and the markets in which they operate.
