Addleshaw Goddard strengthens its international data protection offering with specialist hire

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard (AG) has expanded its market-leading data advisory capabilities with the appointment of international data specialist, Neil Westwood, as Legal Director in its Commercial team in London.

Neil joins AG from Simmons & Simmons, where he was Of Counsel in the firm’s Digital Business Group and a lead adviser on complex digital regulatory matters. His practice spans privacy governance programmes, large-scale technology procurements, innovative services launches, cyber incident response and cross border data compliance.

He brings extensive experience advising banks, payments businesses and other financial services institutions; asset managers; telecoms operators; and global pharmaceutical companies on the full spectrum of data, privacy, cybersecurity and digital regulatory issues.

Neil will help lead AG’s London based Data Law team, further enhancing the firm’s depth in data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance and digital regulation.
