Fabrice Bouquier assists French and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions. He also advises on distribution law, food law, consumer law and complex commercial contracts. Recently Fabrice Bouquier's practice has been increasingly focused on managing large-scale direct investment for Chinese industrial groups in various European jurisdictions including France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy.

Experience

  • Advisor to a Hong Kong listed company for internal reorganization, creation of financial guarantees and cross-border M&A
  • Advising an international metal processing group on its control’s transfer to an Hong Kong-based fund and negotiating French government approval for FDI in a sensitive sector.
  • Advising a Chinese consortium led by a boutique and corner fashion group (listed in Shanghai and Hong Kong) on the acquisition of a French women's ready-to-wear brand from a group specialising in the distribution of clothing and shoes (advised by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher Paris), subsequent reorganisation of the business and advising on pre-insolvency negotiations, including negotiations with the French government authorities
  • Advising a major player in civil nuclear power in China in its acquisition of a German manufacturer of nuclear equipment in a restructuring context (advised by Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH and Lambrecht insolvency administrator firm). Negotiation and grant of prior governmental authorization in Germany
  • Advising an international group specialising in metal processing for the acquisition of a minority stake in an Italian industrial group having important subsidiaries in France and Germany ( advised by Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in Milan and Rome). Negotiation and grant of prior governmental authorization in France
