Addleshaw Goddard appoints Eckart Budelmann as Head of Germany

Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Eckart Budelmann as its new Head of Germany. He assumes strategic and operational responsibility for the firm’s German offices with effect from 1 May 2026.

Eckart Budelmann succeeds Dr Michael Leue, who has held the role since the firm opened its first German office in 2019 and who has played a key role in building the practice over the past seven years. More than 70 people now work across Addleshaw Goddard’s four offices in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Michael will in future focus on advising our national and international clients in Corporate/M&A.

Eckart Budelmann has also been with Addleshaw Goddard since the outset. In his previous roles, he advised international clients on complex transactions and on all areas of corporate law. He has been closely involved in the expansion of the German practice.
