Addleshaw Goddard supports Banyan Software's expansion in the DACH region with acquisition of Immo-Office

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised Banyan Software Group comprehensively on the acquisition of immo-portal-services GmbH and thus its market entry in Germany. With the acquisition, Banyan Software strengthens its market position in the DACH region and will continue its growth together with immo-office.

Founded in 2016 in Atlanta, USA, Banyan Software acquires successful enterprise software businesses with the aim to help it grow into the future as part of a buy-and-hold-for-life strategy. Banyan Software has locations in the US, Canada, the UK as well as in the DACH region.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Hamburg, immo-office offers innovative software solutions that digitize processes within the German housing sector, with a core focus on niche housing associations. The company’s software is a crucial enabler of digital transformation in the sector.

The Addleshaw Goddard team, led by partner Dr Hubertus Schröder and associate Fabian Neppessen (both Corporate/M&A, Hamburg) included partners Nadine Bourgeois (Finance) and Janik Gossler (Commercial, both Frankfurt) as well as counsel Jens Peters (employment), Dr Staffan Wegdell (real estate) and Yves-Alexander Wolff (IP, all Hamburg).

The acquisition was led by Banyan’s German-speaking team; Graham Carney (UK & European M&A Director) and Julian Mick (DACH Corporate Development Director).
