Paweł is a Polish qualified lawyer (adwokat) with almost two decades of experience in dispute resolution / white collar departments in Polish offices of international law firms.
Paweł advises and represents high profile corporate clients in proceedings conducted before regulatory authorities (Financial Supervisory Authority, General Inspector of Financial Information, labour inspectorates) and criminal authorities (prosecutors, Police). Paweł acts before administrative, criminal and civil courts as well as arbitration tribunals (ICC, VIAC, SAKIG). Paweł’s portfolio includes numerous Supreme Court cases as well as two constitutional complaints.
In 2024 Paweł was recognized by Legal 500 EMEA as key lawyer in firm’s white collar team dealing with internal investigations, as well as compliance and government investigations. Paweł is a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Lewiatan Court of Arbitration (the second largest permanent arbitration court in Poland).
Work highlights*
- One of the largest Polish debt collection companies: participating in internal investigation concerning numerus irregularities (including illegal distribution of the company’s assets and fraudulent distribution of the company’s bonds) within the structure, acted as a subsidiary prosecutor before the criminal courts and conducted civil litigations aimed at recovering alienated assets.
- The leading owner and operator of shopping centres in Poland: representing in arbitration proceedings conducted in accordance with the ICC rules of arbitration. The claims were related to the alleged extraordinary change of circumstances and losses incurred by the claimant due to the unforeseen impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
- One of the leading international insurers: representing in several litigations concerning claims under the D&O policies related to failed investments in financial products.
- One of the major pharmaceutical companies: representing in several litigations concerning liability for alleged critical effects of applying their products.
- Polski Fundusz Rozwoju S.A. (Polish Development Fund), as the aggrieved party, representing in numerous civil and administrative proceedings with relation to claims filed by the beneficiaries of government COVID-19 support programmes.
