Amanda was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2011 and is a Legal Director (Australian Qualified) in our commercial dispute resolution team.

Amanda has expertise in high value and complex commercial disputes across a wide range of sectors and areas of law including telecommunications, energy, advanced manufacturing, technology and company law and shareholder disputes. Amanda is accustomed to conducting proceedings before the Courts arbitral tribunals and expert determinations.

Amanda is also a active proponent of the firm's pro bono and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Amanda's experience includes: 

  • Acted for the buyer in a complex expert determination concerning the earn-out payable to the seller under the terms of the sale agreement.
  • Acted for the seller of telecommunications assets to navigate complex ancillary disputes which arose during the sale
  • Acted for the client to a technology design, build and implement contract for breach of contract for failure to deliver a global ERP management system.
  • Acted for the board of trustees of a pension fund in a claim for breach of contract and failure to meet the minimum standard expected of a pension scheme administrator in administering the fund.
  • Advised on a number of disputes arising from the suppliers failure to deliver specified and highly regulated parts on time and to the contracted specification.
  • Acted for a shareholder and secured creditor in proceedings to take control of the Company under a loan agreement and take action against the directors for breaches of their fiduciary obligations
  • Acted for a company in proceedings to prevent shareholder access to the Books and Records of the company
  • Acted for a company in arbitration proceedings seated in Singapore under the UNCITRAL Rules against concerning a contingent tranche payment under an asset sale agreement for a mining tenement
