Jaehoon is a triple qualified lawyer who is admitted to practise law in New York, England & Wales, and Singapore.
He began his career as a foreign legal consultant in the ASEAN practice of a boutique Korean law firm assisting Korean clients with legal matters across Southeast Asia.
After relocating to Singapore in 2021, Jaehoon has advised and acted for clients in various court proceedings, international arbitrations, and mediations.
His practice covers both contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on construction and engineering disputes.
- Experience
- Advised a renewable energy company based in Singapore on numerous legal issues including but not limited to prolongation costs, variation works, extension of time, delays, adjudication proceedings under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2004, and termination of the contract
- Advised and acted for a real estate company based in Singapore in SIA arbitration proceedings
- Advised and acted for a construction company based in Singapore against a factoring service provider for wrongful termination of facilities
- Advised a Japanese company on the enforcement of an arbitration award in Singapore
- Advised and acted for a client in High Court proceedings and mediation concerning a residential property dispute
