Jonathan qualified into the Commercial team in September 2015, having trained with Addleshaw Goddard. Jonathan acts on a wide range of commercial and IT contracts, in particular for retail and financial services clients, as well as on matters relating to acquisitions and divestments. Jonathan's recent experience includes:
- acting for a leading utilities provider on its procurement of a new billing solution for its whole business customer base
- acting for a major global retailer with over 500 UK stores in relation to the IT support arrangements for all of its UK stores
- advising a leading UK retailer in relation to the launch of its online sales platform in the UK
- acting on customer-side for a number of UK financial institutions on the servicing arrangements for recently acquired mortgage and debt portfolios
- acting for a large UK financial institution on the commercial arrangements for the set-up of a new mortgage product, including putting in place the servicing arrangements with a third party supplier in relation to the product
- acting for an international healthcare company on the negotiation of a contract for a cloud-based HR solution for all of its 20,000 UK-based staff
- advising a leading healthcare specialist on a first generation data centre outsourcing

- advising a FTSE 100 entity in relation to the commercial arrangements on its £4bn take-over of a competitor and associated divestment of operations in certain jurisdictions
- advising a multinational FTSE 100 retail organisation in relation to its ongoing outsourcing of IT services, including negotiating framework agreements with various suppliers to allow the project to run smoothly going forwards
- acting for a newly established not-for-profit organisation in relation to its acquisition of a Government-owned certification scheme
- advising Cyprus Cooperative Bank in relation to the contractual arrangements underpinning a joint venture with Altamira Asset Management relating to the servicing of CCB's non-performing loan book
- acting for a large UK bank (as supplier) on transitional servicing arrangements to be put in place with the buyer of a loan portfolio comprising a number of different asset classes including business & personal, motor vehicle, marine and aviation loans
- advising a major UK bank in relation to its programme to ring-fence its retail and business banking operations
