Jason has represented various construction professionals (architects, contractors, developers, funders, engineers, surveyors, and specialist consultants) and their professional indemnity insurers in Technology and Construction Court claims, adjudications, mediations, and Health and Safety Executive investigations. His domestic caseload encompasses claims related to defects rectification, delay, payment, negligence, extensions of time and loss and expense. He has worked across diverse sectors, including mixed-use and residential, student accommodation, sports stadia, civil engineering, and infrastructure.

Experience
  • Part of the AG team acting for a D&B Contractor in a technically complex dispute in the High Court relating to defects in the design and construction of a bespoke guided busway.
  • Acting for a Core Participant in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry (Phase 1 and 2), dealing with matters pertaining to the alleged shortcomings and ineffective functioning of life-critical, MEP and fire safety measures.
  • Acting for a US headquartered infrastructure consulting firm in a dispute in the High Court relating to MEP and fire safety defects at a UK hospital's specialist oncology building. 
  • Acting for a structural engineer and its professional indemnity insurers in a Part 20 Claim in the High Court worth £10m relating to the design and construction of a remedial scheme at a number of defective modular car parks owned by a UK supermarket. 
  • Acting for a US headquartered infrastructure consulting firm in a dispute in the High Court relating to the defective design and construction of a UK university's student accommodation block.
