Ellen is a Managing Associate in our Projects team who has experience advising both public and private sector clients on a wide range of transactional infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Ellen's energy experience includes CHP, electric vehicles, solar, wind and district heating and, having previously qualified into construction, she continues to advise clients on the construction documents required for their renewable projects. Her recent experience includes:

• Senior advisor to the National Water Company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Phase 2 of the on the privatisation of the country wide water treatment and distribution network, specifically in relation to Phase 2 of the project to procure long term operation and maintenance agreements for their sewage treatment plants (STPs).
• Core advisor to VW on its multi-billion pound EV project with Ford, as part of the strategic manufacturing partnership between VW and Ford since 2018.
• Completing a 12 month secondment with the behind-the-meter division of an energy company including the development of their PPA precedents and lead legal advisor with a wide range of customers including universities, further education institutions, drinks manufacturers, dairy product producers and airport owners
• Advisor to Luton Rising in relation to the Luton DART including the ongoing operation and maintenance of the asset, procurement of a facilities manager for the customer facing areas including stations and the provision of various ancillary services for the Luton DART in relation to IT services, gate-line, ticketing and information services
• Lead advisor to a UK LIFT company on the installation of solar panels and other sustainability upgrades across their portfolio of health properties.  
• Advising a client on the independent distribution network operator licence application process and required documentation as a licenced entity to supply grid with energy from solar and wind projects.
• Advising an established last-mile connection company on the refinancing of its business – including IDNO, IGT and NAV arms of the business.
• Advising Southern Water on the primary phase of the Havant Thicket reservoir project. This required an analysis of the regulatory, contractual, construction and financing of the first new reservoir in the UK in 30 years and a "first of a kind" deal due to complex property considerations.
