Ben’s highlights include:

• Representing a client in phase 1 merger control proceedings before the Competition and Markets Authority in the construction and industrials sector. Obtained phase 1 clearance with no remedies imposed in a three-to-two situation
• Advising a radar manufacturer on its proposed acquisition of a counter-drone services provider. Successfully submitted briefing paper to the CMA, obtaining clearance with “no further questions” 
• Advising an airline services provider on its strategic acquisition of a competitor, including advising on options for strategic engagement with the Competition and Markets Authority. Successfully obtained clearance from the CMA with “no further questions” following a briefing paper submission
• Responding to dawn raids by the Competition and Markets Authority and the European Commission and representing clients in the subsequent investigations including recently in Concrete Admixtures
• Experienced in advising on the UK’s National Security and Investment Act (NSIA) regime, including experience on advising clients in relation to Call-In Notices
