Addleshaw Goddard advises on investment into innovative EV charging firm.

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised BGF on its investment into Aberdeen-based EV charging business Trojan Energy Limited.

The £8m investment from BGF is part of a £26m funding round which will help to drive the business' growth plans across the UK.

The AG team advising on the deal was led by Arran Mackenzie, supported by Sarah Dick, Connor Knowles, Daniel Zakrzewski, John Waller, Anita Mullholland, Kyle Sinclair, Sarah Morrissey and Alexander Watts.

Trojan Energy was set up in 2016 by former oil and gas engineers to drive the push to net zero and is known for its innovative chargers which are flush with the pavement when not in use – providing on street access for EV owners. The company has secured partnerships with several council areas in England to install its charge points.

Arran Mackenzie said: "Developing our EV charging infrastructure is a crucial part of the transition to net zero in transport and we are pleased to support BGF in backing Trojan's high quality, green technology as it rolls out to ever more users."
