Addleshaw Goddard advises SK AeroSafety management team on acquisition by Bridgepoint

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard's private equity team has advised the management team of SK AeroSafety on its disposal to global private equity firm Bridgepoint.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Wokingham, UK, SK AeroSafety is a leading global provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft safety equipment. Under the ownership of its previous private equity backer, Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), the company has successfully grown and developed its business to become the market-leading independent provider of aircraft safety testing, inspection and maintenance services through a combination of organic growth and strategic international acquisitions. It now operates in 14 fully integrated facilities across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

SK Aerosafety's CEO Chris Wright said:

"Addleshaw Goddard played a critical role in guiding our leadership team through this significant transaction as we moved to the next chapter of ownership under Bridgepoint Capital Partners. We will now continue to build on our position as the leading global provider of aircraft safety MRO services. During the process, the whole Addleshaw Goddard team demonstrated an incredible work ethic and drive, and a genuine desire to look after the interests of their clients."

AG's Head of Private Equity Mike Hinchliffe said:

"We were delighted to support SK's leadership team on this deal. The team has done a tremendous job growing SK into a leading global player within its specialist niche, expanding its offering and global footprint under LLCP's ownership, and they are well positioned to continue that growth story with Bridgepoint's support."

The AG deal team was led by Head of Private Equity Mike Hinchliffe and Legal Director Caroline Kavanagh, supported by Cameron Allwood, Shannon Hardcastle, Ben Atkinson, Lauryn Mead and Francesco Rosso (Corporate), Zoe Fatchen and Adam Kobeissi (Tax) and Sarah Harrop and Helen Musi (Employment).

Addleshaw Goddard's Private Equity team is ranked no.1 for private equity deals by volume in the UK and Ireland based on latest mergermarket data, and was recently crowned Pan-European Legal Adviser of the Year at the Real Deals Private Equity Awards 2023.
