Expertise
Cormac is Head of Tax in Ireland and is part of the AG Tax & Structuring team. He has over 20 years' experience advising Irish and international businesses on Irish tax matters. His experience includes advising international businesses on investing in and establishing business in Ireland, structuring Irish property investments, providing structuring and transactional tax support for sellers and investors including private equity, and advising on share incentive schemes. He has varied experience in the areas of corporate tax, VAT and employment taxes across a range of industries including real estate and construction, SAAS, E-commerce, financial services and retail .Cormac is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (FCA).

Experience includes:
- On the acquisition of a stake in IT service provider, Nostra. We advised Phoenix on an appropriate investment structure for making their investment and provided input into the transaction documents
- LDC: (The Private Equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group) on its investment in Medray Group, healthcare equipment and service provider.
- Anderson Anderson Brown (AAB): (Backed by private equity group, August Equity) on its acquisition of Ormsby Rhodes and Ryan & Crowley accountancy practices. We advised AAB on an appropriate investment structure for making their investment and provided input into the transaction documents
- Veeda Clinical Research: On the acquisition of Heads, an Irish headquartered European CRO business. We advised Veeda on an appropriate investment structure for making their investment and provided input into the transaction documents .
- Homefocus group: On the sale of the company and its subsidiaries to Dunelm Group plc
- Mehow Medical: On the sale of the entire issued share capital of MeHow Medical Ireland Limited to Indutrade AB
- The Shareholders: Of Shorecal Ltd, the largest Domino's franchise business in Ireland, on the sale of their shareholding to Domino's Pizza Group
- Uptown Group: On its acquisition by ETL Global, a German multinational professional services business
- MNK Partners: On a number of Irish commercial property investment
- IROKO Zen: A French headquartered investment firm, on a number of Irish commercial property investments
- A US headquartered Health Tech Company: On the establishment of an Irish subsidiary and set up of its Irish business
- An Irish non-Bank Lender: Who operate an SME lending platform facilitating various types of SME finance on its first securitisation, backed by its SME loan receivables
