Expertise

Barbara is a Polish qualified lawyer (adwokat) with over 10 years in advising clients with regard to all aspects of the Polish and European competition law as well as foreign direct investment regulations and consumer laws. She regularly represents clients before the Polish Competition Authority and the European Commision in both merger control and antitrust proceedings. She has experience in advising clients operating, among others, in the financial, media, retail, real estate and energy sectors.

  • Cerberus Capital Management: providing complex legal advice navigating the multifaceted intersection of merger, antitrust, state aid rules, and consumer protection laws on the acquisition of 100% shares in VeloBank S.A., a Polish universal bank and its subsidiaries
  • E.ON: advising on the Polish foreign investment aspects of its acquisition of Innogy from RWE
  • Media and entertainment group: advising on compliance with the consumer law of streaming platforms
  • Chariot Top Group BV, a company co-managed by Griffin Capital Partners: advising on merger control aspects of its €1bn acquisition of a retail portfolio in Poland including notification to the European Commission
