Expertise

After completing his two-year legal traineeship at Addleshaw Goddard, William qualified into the firm's Restructuring and Insolvency team in September 2023, specialising in both transactional and contentious restructuring and insolvency.

William helps clients with a range of corporate restructuring, finance, and insolvency dispute resolution matters. He works with major banks, lenders, insolvency practitioners, and businesses to provide advice on rescue financing, restructuring plans, pre-pack administrations, security enforcement, distressed debt sales, and legal action to recover debts and assets. William also regularly advises clients on loan portfolio due diligence and acquisitions, as well as advising on the work-out of acquired debts post-acquisition, assisting clients with various enforcement and disposal strategies.

William has a keen interest in the development of generative AI and other forms of legal technology within the firm and the legal sector as a whole. In addition to regularly utilising relevant legal technologies to advise his clients more efficiently, William has also played a key role in projects within the firm to further develop legal technologies and widen the scope of their application.
