Rania is an Arabic speaking legal professional with over 16 years' experience in UAE with in-depth knowledge of the legal practices and methods pertaining to Middle East businesses. Rania has successfully handled diverse responsibilities such as client relationship management, case investigation, corporate documentation and legal assistance to lawyers and partners.

Prior to joining Addleshaw Goddard, Rania has worked for a top-tier Middle Eastern law firm and a leading international law firm in Dubai.

Rania's experience includes:

  • Facilitating and advising on the establishment of onshore and 'free zone' companies in the UAE
  • Advising on group and company restructuring including share transfers, change of officers and adding activities to 'onshore' and free zone company licenses
  • Advising clients in relation to general routine company secretarial work 
  • Drafting legal documents in dual language English / Arabic
  • Liaising with government departments including all Economic Departments, ministries and the notary public
  • Undertaking legal research and advising clients on relevant business law in the UAE 
  • Advising clients on compliant corporate structures in the UAE
  • Advising on restructuring and transferring of employees and management
  • Assisting in due diligence
  • Advising Elan in relation to various group transactions such as share transfers, change of officers in the UAE and the GCC and filing notarised documents with the Commercial Register  
  • Advising Cambridge University in relation to obtaining a branch license and the relevant consents from the relevant government bodies
  • Advising British Arab Commercial Bank in relation to obtaining a branch license and the relevant consents from the relevant government bodies
  • Advising Google, Microsoft, Boeing and Deutshe Bank in relation to company secretarial work streams on a retainer basis 
  • Advising Al Faisaliah Group in relation to restructuring its free zone based companies to be converted from free zone establishments to free zone companies
