Ahlam heads the Corporate Services team at Addleshaw Goddard in the UAE. An English and Arabic-speaking legal professional with over [22] years' experience across the UAE and the wider GCC, she has in-depth knowledge of regulatory, compliance and company secretarial matters in the region.
Ahlam advises clients both independently, on regulatory, compliance and company secretarial matters, and as part of broader deal teams, delivering the local-law elements of complex transactions ranging from corporate M&A and group reorganisations to liquidations, company formations, share capital reductions, share transfers and other corporate actions.
Ahlam and the Corporate Services team play an integral role in the projects and transactions on which the firm is instructed. Their expertise allows Addleshaw Goddard to advise on, complete and deliver matters that turn on complex local-law issues, where execution depends on both local-law expertise and close, collaborative working with the relevant UAE authorities.
Ahlam has worked with a broad range of international and national clients, including DP World, adidas, Julphar, JAFZA, G4S, Motorola, the Almoe Group, International School Partnership, Four Seasons, Positive Zero, the Carlyle Group, ASCA Capital, Cedar Bridge, Gulf Capital, Aldar, Coty and Adidas, among many others.

- Facilitating and advising on the establishment of onshore and free zone companies in the UAE, including conversions between corporate forms (for example, from sole establishments to limited liability companies).
- Advising on group and company restructuring and reorganisation, including share transfers, changes of officers, corporate rebranding and the addition of activities to onshore and free zone licences.
- Advising on the share transfer mechanics for corporate acquisitions and disposals.
- Liaising with the Ministry of Economy on transaction related competition filings.
