Sarah Persky is a Managing Associate in Addleshaw Goddard's Competition department, based in London. Sarah has over 10 years of experience advising on a full range of competition law issues, including CMA market investigations, multi-jurisdictional merger control analysis, competition law compliance and large-scale, high value and complex competition litigation matters, including claimant and defence-side follow-on and stand-alone damages actions.  Sarah regularly advises clients in the retail and consumer, financial services and energy sectors, as well as regulated clients.

  • Advising the Road Haulage Association on its proposed collective follow-on action in relation to the trucks cartel
  • Acting for a London airport in defending a High Court stand-alone action for abuse of dominance, including advising on strategy, drafting witness statements, assisting in preparation of an expert report, supervising a team of associates, trainees and paralegals, and working with counsel to prepare for trial
  • Providing multi-jurisdictional merger control and foreign direct investment advice to a voice communications solutions company on a transactioninvolvaling the sale of various entities involved in defence
  • Advising Telere Trillium on its joint venture with Blackstone to acquire Network Rail's £1.46 billion commercial real estate portfolio, requiring an EU merger filing
  • Advising Ladbrokes plc on its merger with Gala Coral Group, requiring Phase II CMA clearance, including drafting merger notification, key submissions and responses to CMA requests for information, advising on strategy, liaising with economists, preparing for key stages of the process, including CMA site visit, hearing and surveys, and drafting information exchange protocol and clean team arrangements
