Rebecca specialises in all areas of corporate and personal insolvency with a specific emphasis on contentious work.  She has considerable experience advising insolvency practitioners, financial institutions and creditors on all areas of corporate and personal insolvency.  She has particular experience in administrations, litigation on behalf of insolvency practitioners, asset recovery, retention of title claims and litigation on behalf of and against directors. 


Rebecca's recent experience includes: 

  • Instructed by RSM UK (Manchester office) in a highly complex, long running administration involving numerous companies and multiple proposed claims against various defendants including the directors and their associates
  • Appointment of administrators over a large boiler supply company which resulted in highly contentious and complex proceedings being brought against a debtor company
  • Appointment of administrators over a group of companies which owned and hired out narrow boats. Prior to the appointment of the administrators, the directors purportedly sold all assets to a company which runs a website called “”. This resulted in complex, highly contentious litigation against both the directors, the purported purchaser and their various advisors
  • Instructed by an Insolvency Practitioner client in a high value, high profile guarantee claim which resulted in a significant recovery for the company in administration
  • Assisting in the huge and complex administration of well-known retail group particularly dealing with the appointment, disclaiming hundreds of properties and numerous retention of title claims
