Kate is a Legal Director in the Employment Group, based in our Manchester office.

She acts for a wide range of private and public sector clients, including FTSE 100 companies, SMEs, private equity houses, and various NHS bodies and local authorities. She has significant experience in advising clients within the financial, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing and transport sectors.

Kate's practice encompasses all aspects of non-contentious employment work, including business change projects (such as collective redundancy programmes, business re-organisations and large scale contract variation exercises), employee relations issues, executive recruitment and termination and business insolvency regulations. Her particular specialism is advising on the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE) and other employment aspects of complex outsourcing and mergers and acquisitions transactions.

As an expert in business change projects and TUPE related transactions, Kate led the Addleshaw Goddard team advising British Airways on the employment aspects of its acquisition and integration of bmi.

Kate regularly trains clients in all aspects of employment law and speaks on public training courses and seminars.
