- Advised Broadfield Capital on its successful first and second independent sponsor transactions, advising on the capital raising and structuring elements of the investments.
- Advised HSBC Asset Management and other institutional investors on investment into funds across various assets classes and structures including primary, co-investment and continuation funds.
- Advised Pension Insurance Corporation on its GBP 4.3 billion buy-in with Rolls Royce UK Pension Fund in respect of the purchase and transfer of interests in private funds.
- Advised Octopus Capital on the ongoing management of its evergreen investment funds across real estate and healthcare asset classes.
Expertise
Simon is an Associate in our Private Funds team with experience advising on the structuring, formation and operation of private investment funds and independent sponsor transactions across asset classes. He regularly acts for fund sponsors and institutional investors across a broad range of private investment transactions, including fund formations, primary and secondary fund investments and co-investments. Simon joined Addleshaw Goddard in 2025 having previously practiced at other international law firms gaining experience as a private funds lawyer as well as advising clients on financial services regulation.
