Expertise

Pavel is an experienced transactional lawyer and a Managing Associate in AG's corporate and M&A team in Dubai, UAE. He obtained his master’s degree in law from the Charles University in Prague in 2016 and is admitted as a lawyer in the Czech Republic.

Before joining AG, Pavel worked for nine years in Europe at a leading international law firm. He has experience advising financial and strategic investors on cross-border transactions in various sectors including technology, renewables, hospitality, insurance and financial services. Pavel also has a previous in-house experience working as an M&A legal counsel at a renewable energy group active in Europe and South America. He has also extensively advised insurers on the placement of W&I insurance in the context of M&A transactions across Europe.

Exerpience

Advised EBRD and Meridiam on their equity investment, in collaboration with Hassan Allam Utilities, in a new platform established to invest in renewable energy projects in Egypt and other countries in Africa.
Advised renewable energy developer on the sale of up to 200MWp of Chilean solar power plants to funds manged by BlackRock.
Advised a major Czech investment group on the acquisition of the Four Seasons Hotel Prague.
Advised Quinn hotels Praha on the sale of Hilton Prague.
Advised a NASDAQ-listed technology company on the acquisition of a Czech-based provider of a cloud- and mobile-based quantitative analytics solution.
