Expertise

Jakub is a trainee advocate at the Warsaw Bar Association. He graduated from the Jagiellonian University and completed the American Law Program offered by the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He specialises in corporate law and financial and capital markets law. His professional experience includes advising on Polish and international mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, joint ventures, as well as day-to-day corporate issues. He also advises domestic and international financial institutions (e.g. credit institutions, investment firms and investment funds) on regulatory and transactional matters.

Work highlights*

  • Mirova: advising an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers and a leading French asset manager, on its €50m investment in GreenWay, the largest and most advanced EV charging network in the CEE.
  • CRH: advising on divestment of its Polish lime operations (including two production sites, Kujawy and Sitkowka, along with a distribution network) valued at €100m to SigmaRoc.
  • Signal Capital Partners: advising on a joint venture with Echo Investment and Griffin Capital Partners to develop a student housing platform in Poland.
  • Cerberus Capital Management: advising on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of VeloBank, a leading bank in Poland.
  • EY: advising on Polish aspects of planned and subsequently cancelled split of its audit and consulting units.
