Josh is an associate in our Infrastructure, Projects and Energy team. He joined the firm as an NQ in 2021. Since joining Addleshaw Goddard, he has advised on a broad range of matters from transport infrastructure projects to renewable energy schemes. Prior to this, Josh's background involved a broader spectrum of commercial-focused work.

Experience

Josh's experience includes advising:

  • National Wealth Fund in relation to its role as senior lender providing £36.55billion in debt financing to the Sizewell C nuclear power station project.
  • South East Water in relation to the procurement of renewable energy through an offsite PPA in the form of an onshore wind project based in Scotland.
  • Octopus Energy in relation to its initial cash injection and further option to acquire the remaining share capital in Renewable Energy Devices Limited, a market leading developer of air source heat pumps.
  • bp pulse on its template framework agreements to rollout EV charging infrastructure across the UK.
  • Leeds City Council on the development of its district heating network contract suite templates and ongoing negotiations with customers seeking to connect to the Leeds PIPES Heating Network.

Josh has also undertaken various secondments, including to Hitachi Rail (2022) and the National Wealth Fund (2025).
