Annie qualified into the Global Investigation team in March 2023 as an Associate. Annie specialises in aspects of regulatory law and compliance, in particular health and safety, fire safety and product safety. Annie is regularly involved in a wide variety of matters, including: Inquests, Public Inquiries, sensitive investigations, responding to regulatory action and providing proactive compliance advice. Annie provides advice and support to clients over a variety of different sectors.
Annie has experience in advising and supporting with issues including fire and building safety risks following the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022 and advising on Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 breaches including workplace fatalities and HSE prosecutions. In addition to this, Annie is also regularly instructed to manage and carry out sensitive internal investigations involving large and complex data sets and sensitive employee interviews, including allegations of fraud and corruption, and advising clients on responding to national Public Inquiries.
Annie advises clients on online safety, regulatory compliance and investigations, supporting organisations to navigate Online Safety Act obligations and digital regulation requirements.
Annie also gained commercial experience while on secondment at a leading national retailer. During this time, Annie gained a wide range of experience dealing with a variety of regulatory and consumer dispute issues, including conducting internal investigations and supporting the business through inquest proceedings.
