Łukasz Burakowski is a Polish qualified lawyer (radca prawny) specialising in labour law. He has over 12 years’ experience covering a broad spectrum of labour law issues including, among others, employee transfer issues, preparation, negotiation and termination of key management agreements and other labour law documents, implementation of incentive schemes (including based on financial instruments), employment consultancy, implementation of HR regulations and policies and establishment of Employee Pension Schemes and Employee Capital Plans as well as advisory on all day-to-day employee matters.
He also has extensive experience in M&A transactions from employment and corporate perspective including both local and cross-border deals covering wide range of aspects, such as structuring, drafting transactional documentation, conducting due diligence processes and management of employee communication. His experience spans a number of sectors, including FMCG, IT, medical, financial services and real estate.

Łukasz’ recent work highlights includes advising on employment- and pensions-related issues for*:
- Cerberus, in connection with the acquisition of 100% of the shares of VeloBank, a leading global bank in Poland;
- Unilever, in connection with internal reorganisation and separation of its spreads and tea business;
- CRH, in connection with a number of transactions;
- a global leader in financial services offering solutions to the world's most important corporations, governments and institutions, in connection with the establishment of the Employment Pension Schemes in Polish entities from the group;
- entities from banking, financial services, IT and real estate sectors in matters relating to employment and termination of contracts with employees, including key employees;
- a variety of Clients in day-to-day employment issues, including hiring of employees, drafting internal regulations, bonus and remuneration schemes, terms of employment and their change, employee relations management.

- Education
Łukasz studied law at the University of Warsaw (graduated in 2013). He also attended Center for American Law Studies organised by University of Florida Levin College of Law (graduated in 2012).
He was awarded twice with the scholarship for the outstanding academic achievements by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
