Banking and Finance expert Nadine Bourgeois has joined Addleshaw Goddard as a partner.

Nadine has over 15 years' experience advising banks, alternative lenders, and financial sponsors as well as mid and large cap borrowers on acquisition finance, real estate finance and corporate loan transactions.

The hire enables AG to actively drive forward plans to offer dedicated banking and finance services in Germany, as well as supporting colleagues across the world on German finance aspects of broader work. Having been a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright and Luther Lawfirm, Nadine will operate between Hamburg and Frankfurt.

In Germany Addleshaw Goddard offers clients a full-service capability across Corporate, Finance, Disputes and Real Estate. The firm is also expanding its reach across continental Europe with the opening in January of a Paris office comprising 20+ transactional, disputes and real estate lawyers.

Addleshaw Goddard opened its German office in June 2019, and has been going from strength to strength ever since. In May 2020 competition expert Helge Heinrich and public procurement specialist Jan-Oliver Schrotz joined the corporate team, in October dedicated IP law expert Yves-Alexander Wolff came on board and in November disputes partner Felix Dörfelt joined from Latham Watkins. The firm now has more than 30 fee earner in Hamburg, more than three times the number when it launched.

Nadine's hire takes the number of partners in the German office to nine and marks yet another milestone cementing AG's reputation as a full-service law firm in the German market.

Dr. Michael Leue, Partner in Corporate & Commercial & Head of AG's Hamburg Office said: "With her broad expertise and extensive experience, Nadine is a leader in her specialist field and a perfect addition to our growing team here in Germany. As a global law firm, Addleshaw Goddard is committed to being able to deliver a fully-comprehensive service offering in all our markets, and the addition of a dedicated banking and finance partner here will be a key part of that."

Leue added: "Frankfurt is the financial centre of the continent, and one of the main finance capitals in the world. Having a dedicated banking and finance partner here is therefore not only vital to support German clients, but also to have a 'face' here for our clients worldwide. We are delighted to welcome Nadine to the AG family."
