2. Keeping up to speed with the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) 2013 and Failure to Prevent Fraud offence

Failure to Prevent Fraud offence
Under ECCTA, the new failure to prevent fraud offence will come into force on 1 September 2025, affecting large organisations that do business in the UK that have more than 250 employees, more than £36 million turnover, or more than £18 million in total assets. Businesses have less than 4 months to get on top of their anti-fraud procedures and personnel appointments to avoid getting caught by the offence.
We have developed a toolkit to help clients navigate the new guidance, providing unique business risks and sector focused insights. Click here to download the toolkit.
