UK public procurement thresholds from 1 January 2024

The UK procurement thresholds are increasing from 1 January 2024, and bodies subject to the procurement rules need to take note of the changes. The changes apply to works, services and supplies contracts, utilities contracts and concessions.

From 1 January 2024, new thresholds will apply to procurements conducted under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016, and the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (and their equivalents in Scotland), as per the Public Procurement (Agreement on Government Procedure) (Thresholds) (Amendment) Regulations 2023.

The thresholds under the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011, the Light Touch Regime (Public Contracts and Utilities) and for small lots under the public, utilities and defence and security regimes will not change.
