Join this event on 22nd September 2026 at Addleshaw Goddard, One St Peter’s Square, Manchester, M2 3DE for a practical deep‑dive into how the Building Safety Act is really operating on the ground.
Hosted by Addleshaw Goddard’s Construction team in Manchester, in partnership with Keating Chambers and HKA, this session will cut through the legislation and guidance to focus on what matters in live projects and disputes.
We will look at the real‑world impact of the current regime, including:
- Building Liability Orders (BLOs) – when they are being sought and how to respond
- Remediation Contribution Orders (RCOs) – who pays, and on what basis
- Contracting in the shadow of the Building Safety Regulator – risk allocation and drafting trends
- Managing and remediating defects mid‑litigation – strategy, evidence and cost recovery
The event will combine targeted presentations with an interactive panel discussion featuring:
- Simon Hargreaves KC and David Sheard (Keating Chambers) - Lead and Junior Counsel on the leading decision in this space - URS v BDW
- Glyn Thomas (HKA) – Building Control Consultant who previously provided expert services to the Addleshaw Goddard team in relation to the operation of the Building Safety Regulator
- Sarah Wilson, Tom Lister and Chris Russell (Addleshaw Goddard)
