Addleshaw Goddard promotes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality and nurtures a fully inclusive culture where all partners and employees are able to be themselves and achieve their potential.
All our policies are inclusive of same sex couples and we run diversity training to raise awareness of LGBT issues in the workplace.
Open AG is our UK LGBT network, established to provide support and assistance to LGBT employees. Its membership is not restricted by sexual orientation and 'straight allies' are also very welcome.
The main aims of Open AG are to raise awareness of sexual orientation equality in the workplace, support members and offer strategic advice to the firm on issues that may affect LGBT employees. Open AG activities are supported by our executive team and three Partners who act as senior champions for the network.
AG is a corporate member of Stonewall, the LGBT charity and best practice forum for employers. We subscribe to its philosophy that "people perform better when they can be themselves".
This year, in celebration of the Pride festivals, all of our UK offices will host a 'pledge board' for all who connect with the firm to enable people to demonstrate their support for the Stonewall 'No Bystanders' campaign during the Pride season. This campaign seeks to encourage everyone to 'come out for LGBT equality and never be a bystander to hateful language and abuse'. We will also promote local stories, relating specifically to the cities in which our UK offices are based, about the role these cities, where our offices are based, have played in LGBT+ history.
