Jerzy is a Polish-qualified lawyer (adwokat) with over 20 years of experience in a broad spectrum of banking transactions. 

Jerzy’s practice is primarily focused on cross-border and domestic out-of-court restructuring transactions. To that extent he has advised many Polish and foreign credit institutions and investment funds on several high-profile cases.

Additionally, Jerzy has uniquely broad, expert-level competence in project, real estate, export, asset and trade finance, sale of performing and non-performing receivables and development of large Polish state-funded projects. Jerzy combines transactional experience with regulatory expertise in advising clients on corporate banking, payment and e-money services as well as on general banking and investment sectors regulatory matters. 

Work highlights*

• Advising a consortium of four leading Polish banks and one of the Polish government agencies regarding the debt restructuring of a large group of companies operating in the railway, power, engineering, and construction sectors.
• Advising a consortium of seven Polish and European banks acting as bondholders, in connection with the debt restructuring of one of the largest European mining groups.
• Advising a leading Polish bank in relation to the debt restructuring of an Irish capital group operating in the real estate sector, involving the group's portfolio of several dozen commercial properties located in Poland.
• Advising a leading Polish bank in connection with the debt restructuring and complex sale of its subsidiary, which was taken over by the bank from an insolvent partner as part of credit debt recovery proceedings.
• Advising a consortium of three leading Polish banks in the restructuring proceedings of a maritime shipyard specialising in steel constructions for the construction, energy, shipbuilding, and offshore industries.
