Expertise

Qualified in England and Wales, Natalia focuses on energy, construction and infrastructure related disputes and international arbitration in Asia. She advises clients on high-value arbitrations under a range of institutional rules, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), acting for multinational corporations, state-owned entities and private parties.

Throughout her career, Natalia has advised on disputes arising out of upstream oil and gas operations, energy and construction projects in the Middle East, Asia and Brazil. She regularly works on matters involving multi-jurisdictional teams and clients.  

Experience

Natalia’s experience includes:

  • Advising an Asia based leading provider of offshore oil and gas solutions on international projects including EPC, lease and operation of FPSOs and FPSO lift, transportation and installation.
  • Acted for claimant in ICC arbitration of $5 billion dispute concerning consultant breach of contract and negligence under FIDIC-based consultant contract.
  • Represented an engineering company in ICC arbitration proceedings against its main contractor on a construction project in the Middle East, the total value of which exceeded £50 million.
  • Defended a multinational company in a claim concerning a breach of contract under UNCITRAL rules in Central Asia. 
  • Represented an airline in a manufacturing dispute with a major aircraft manufacturer in the High Court. The £2 billion dispute concerned multiple claims of breach of contract, with proceedings on an expedited timetable. 
  • Acted for defendants with respect of allegations of a £200 million fraud.
