Miles is a Partner in Addleshaw Goddard’s Real Estate team.

He advises institutional investors, developers, pension funds and major occupiers on complex development and investment transactions. Miles has particular experience in build to rent housing, social infrastructure, self storage and residential development, and regularly acts on high value, large scale projects across the UK.

Miles is known for combining strong technical expertise with a highly commercial, client‑focused approach. Clients value his ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice and to develop precise, solutions‑driven strategies aligned with their wider strategic and commercial objectives.

Experience

Acting for a joint venture backed by a major investor and residential operator on their single-family housing platform, which is deploying over £1bn on the acquisition and development of single-family build-to-rent (BTR) schemes across the UK.
Acting for Newcore Capital, an institutional investor focused on social infrastructure, on a broad range of matters in relation to its circa £750m portfolio – from development and funding, disposals and acquisitions to complex letting matters.
Advising a major Local Government Pension Scheme pool in relation to its circa £2.5bn real estate portfolio.
Acting for a developer specialising in strategic land, including:
- A circa 250 acre site being brought forward for a major strategic residential-led development of approximately 1,200 homes.
- The sale of development plots to Amazon and Panattoni.
- The promotion of multiple sites for residential development.
Acting for a local authority on the acquisition, site assembly, development and subsequent disposal of a 120 acre site capable of accommodating up to 1 million sq. ft of uses within the advanced manufacturing sector.
