Addleshaw Goddard builds real estate bench with partner hire Miles Sinclair

Addleshaw Goddard has bolstered its Manchester Real Estate practice with Miles Sinclair joining the firm as a Partner, reinforcing its strength in complex development and investment work.

Miles joins from DWF, where he trained and progressed rapidly, becoming Partner in January 2024 with just eight years’ post qualification experience. He has built a substantial and well balanced practice advising on high value investment and development transactions, acting for institutional investors, developers, pension funds and major occupiers.

His work spans a range of growth sectors including social infrastructure, build to rent housing, self storage and residential development, with experience advising on complex, large scale and often market leading projects. Miles is particularly recognised for his technical strength combined with a commercial, highly client focused approach.

Miles’s arrival strengthens Addleshaw Goddard’s ability to support clients on sophisticated development and investment transactions, particularly in sectors experiencing strong investor demand and long term growth.

AG’s Real Estate team has continued to expand through a series of strategic lateral hires, including Kirsty Chalkley into its Manchester Real Estate team, strengthening its transactional capability, and Amit Unadkat who joined the firm’s London Real Estate team. Other senior hires include Farhod Moghadam into Real Estate Indirect Investments and Steven Ward in the firm’s Private Funds Group. This growth follows a standout period in which AG advised Arada on its significant investment in the landmark £2.5bn Thameside West regeneration scheme – one of London’s most ambitious large-scale development projects, delivering 5,000 homes in East London.

At the Property Week Awards 2025, AG received the title ‘Outstanding Legal Team of the Year – International & Large Firms’, reflecting the market-leading work of its Real Estate practice on major mandates.

Across the firm, AG has welcomed 47 lateral partner hires over the past year, with the Real Estate team accounting for 12 of these appointments.

Iain Hindhaugh, Head of Transactional Real Estate at Addleshaw Goddard, said:

“Miles’s arrival is a fantastic addition to our Manchester Real Estate team and reflects our continued focus on building strength in key regional markets.”

Miles Sinclair, Partner at Addleshaw Goddard, said:

“It is an absolute honour to be joining Addleshaw Goddard, a firm with a peerless reputation for quality and a clear ambition for growth. It is such an exciting time for the firm, which continues to go from strength to strength. I am delighted to be joining at such a pivotal stage in its journey, and I look forward to working with colleagues and clients as it continues to build on its impressive momentum.”
