Amy has 25+ years’ experience in residential development, principally in housing led delivery on the public/private interface. Her work encompasses all aspects of real estate development: structuring, acquisitions, options, disposals and with particular focus on real estate led joint ventures.
- Experience
- Advising Peabody Trust (formerly Catalyst Housing Group) on all aspects of their development at the former St Ann’s Hospital, Haringey. The site was brought to market by the GLA and Amy provided advice on the bid, and following selection as preferred bidder, negotiation of the Development Agreement with the GLA, including tailoring this to fit the client’s delivery structure. Peabody are delivering the project in partnership with housebuilder, Hill Residential, and Amy also advised on the joint venture between Peabody and Hill. This involved governance advice, given Peabody’s charitable status, and tackling the funder issues linked to the GLA structure. Since close of the project, Amy’s team have advised on multiple ongoing matters, including the energy/ESCO arrangements, lease drawdowns, disposal to the local authority, S106 agreement, statutory easements to name a few.
- Advising LB Southwark on their 2030 new homes delivery programme. Supporting the Council through the procurement process across a portfolio of sites, through to the selection of Mount Anvil and Wates as developers.
- Hill Residential – Amy acted for Hill Residential on their Lampton Road project. This involved a joint venture with Notting Hill Genesis in relation to the market housing, subsequent affordable sales to a housing association, and a build to rent disposal.
- Advice to Man GPM and its subsidiaries through the Community Housing Fund on the acquisition of BTR and affordable homes from Taylor Wimpey and Vistry. [https://benews.co.uk/man-group-partners-with-vistry-to-forward-fund-delivery-of-308-new-affordable-homes/]
- Advising Clarion Housing Group on multiple joint venture projects (LLPs), including arrangements with Vistry, Bellway, Hill, Durkan, Fairview, London Square. Advice includes both on the JV side and affordable acquisitions by the housing association.
- National developer – acting for a national developer on innovative funding models/partnerships for the delivery of residential led schemes.
- G15 Housing Association – on its proposals to take their entire development programme offline.
