Dominik is a New York qualified attorney and soon-to-be Polish attorney (adwokat). Dominik’s expertise focuses on energy and environmental law, as well as geological and mining regulations. He advises financing parties and developers on the administrative and regulatory aspects in RES transactions and possesses significant expertise in the Polish offshore wind sector. Dominik has practical experience in concession proceedings before the Polish energy regulatory authority and has represented clients before administrative courts in construction-related matters. He also assists clients looking to enter the Polish market, providing guidance throughout the entire lifecycle of greenfield projects.

Work highlights*

• A group of commercial lenders, ECAs and multilateral financial institutions: advising on the development and $5.2bn non-recourse green financing of the Baltic Power offshore wind farm, owned by ORLEN (51%) and Northland Power (49%). This is the first offshore wind farm to reach financial close in Poland, named European Deal of the Year, 2023, by PFI.
• An international geothermal heat producer: advising on its entry into the Polish market through the development of a commercial-scale greenfield geothermal project.
• One of Europe’s leading asset management companies holding a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Poland: providing ongoing advisory for the Polish renewable energy framework.
• Mirova: advising on its investment in Baltic Storage Platform, an Estonian-based energy storage joint venture between Corsica Sole and Evecon. Mirova’s investment will help facilitate Baltic Storage Platform’s planned rollout of two high-capacity battery storage plants totalling 200MW/400MWh in Estonia by 2025.
• Mirova: advising on its EUR 50 million+ investment in GreenWay, a leading company in the electric vehicle charging sector.
