Joris is a partner and head of the employment team at our Amsterdam office. Joris advises and represents clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including individual and collective dismissals, collective redundancies, workplace investigations, remuneration matters and works council issues. He acts for both domestic and international clients in contentious and non-contentious matters and has experience handling complex cases before the courts as well as advising on compliance with employment regulations.
With his 25 years of experience, Joris regularly advises clients on c-level exits, board dynamics and restrictive covenants. He furthermore has extensive experience with corporate transaction work.

- Supporting Warner Bros. Discovery on a broad range of employment matters, including restructurings, senior exits and internal investigations, covering both contentious and non-contentious work.
- Acting as Garantibank’s lead employment counsel on a range of matters, varying from individual dismissals to organisational changes to ad hoc queries.
- Representing a tech company in a multi-million euro dispute with two former directors, involving directors’ liability, good/bad-leaver discussions and valuation of shares.
- Assisting OranginaSchweppes on (sensitive) employment matters.
- Representing a partner at an international private equity firm in connection with their separation from the firm.
