Abi joined the Health, Safety and Environment Team as an embedded paralegal in 2016 and qualified as an Associate in 2024.

Since joining AG in 2015, Abi has gained a wide range of experience within the team across a range of regulatory matters including health and safety, public inquiries, investigations, fire safety and inquests and the Coronial process. 

Abi has provided assistance to client in some of the largest scale and high-profile public inquiries over the last 10 years. 

Recent experience

• Acting on behalf of a corporate Core Participant in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
• Representing three bereaved families as part of the Manchester Arena Inquiry.
• Acting on behalf of a client in the Covid Inquiry. Providing support during the disclosure process, liaising with disclosure platform providers and preparing corporate witness statements. 
• Acting on behalf of a client in the Post Office Inquiry. Undertaking document review, preparing a corporate witness statement and monitoring hearings. 
•  Assisting a client with an internal investigation into the suicide of an employee involving alleged issues of work-related stress and involvement in the subsequent coronial process.
• Supporting a client during the investigation of alleged breaches of the management of asbestos regulations with a large estate portfolio. 
• Producing a witness statement from an employee of a manufacturing company being prosecuted by the HSE for breaches under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act. 
• Providing written submissions for a company being prosecuted for a breach of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
• Abi also provides advice and assistance to clients in relation to a broad range of regulatory issues including aspects of fire safety, health and safety compliance, offences under the Gambling Act and other criminal legislation. 
• Abi has contributed to articles focusing on various aspects of health and safety covering topics such as artificial intelligence, the gig economy, Brexit and food safety. She regularly undertakes health and safety horizon scanning exercises for the team, focusing on specific sectors such as food regulation, retail and consumer, and industrials.
